If you decide to order, you will fill out the necessary information at these sites, and the excellent folks at Amazon.com and Powell's will process your order with exactly the same high quality of customer service as if you had placed it by yourself (without my recommendation).
Placing your order through my site gives me credit and doesn't cost you anything. No additional charges are appended to your order because you ordered through my site. As a matter of fact, if you order through my site you will often save money, because I don't link to Amazon.com or Powell's until I have searched for and found the least expensive book editions.
Sometimes, my search is difficult, as multiple editions of the book are available. In some cases, virtually identical books differ in price. Sometimes, it is advantageous to pay a slightly higher price in order to receive some benefit. For example, if a leather bound hard cover book is only about $1 or $2 higher in price than the lowest cost hard cover [non leather] book, I will link to the leather bound book.
I never link to Amazon.com or Powell's Books without fully investigating the best prices available.
Notes about Amazon.com: Please place the book into your cart immediately after you enter Amazon.com. If you do this, I will get maximum credit at no cost to you. You can place the book into your cart at any time and remove it at any time without any dificulty. However, if you don't place the book in your cart immediately, I might not get any credit.
Notes about Powell's Books: Powell's Books sells both new and used books. Since Amazon.com usually has the better prices for new books, I usually link to Amazon.com for new books. Powell's has the best prices available online for used books, so I always link to Powell's for used books. However, because these used books are a limited supply, Powell's might run out of titles which I link to. (Note: Powell's is more generous to me than Amazon.com, and will give me credit even if you do not immediately place the order in your cart.)
